The
Admiral’s Pub &
Restaurant was opened in October 1993 as a
restaurant & pub. The emphasis is on an informal Pub &
Dining environment in a “turn of the century atmosphere”
and a decoration theme inspired by the entrepreneurs and
officers who came to Siam around the turn of last century. The
restaurant offers Scandinavian specialties as well as
International & Thai dishes.
The

History
The
Admiral's name derives from a Danish admiral who served as
Commander in Chief of the Royal Siamese navy in the service of King
Chulalongkorn at the turn of the century Many decorative items testify to
the Scandinavian connections including a nearly two meters listing in the
bar of foreigners serving in the Siamese navy from 1853-1962. Among the
names the Vikings are in majority and many tales hide behind the names.

& Theme
The Concept piece of the restaurant is the original 50 years old
house, which through a major renovation has re-emerged as a colonial style
club house from the turn of the century complete with library, meeting
room, bar terrace and wine cellar.
